Bessey Grz-10 Parallel Grip Pliers

After seeing Master Carpenter Norm Abram use these for many years on TV’s “New Yankee Workshop”, I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

I know Bessey very well now and I have complete confidence in the brand, mainly due to my previous purchases with them. All of their tools are extremely well designed with the user 100% in mind. The materials are not lacking in Bessey clamps unlike other clamps, and the build quality and craftsmanship is also excellent. I assure that you will be completely happy with your investments, and that they will last for many years.

These were originally built for metal workers, based on the classic “mole grip” design, this clamp features instant locking with a very high force, and simple, quick release. There is also a sliding jaw allowing a precise adjustment to the thickness of material being held.

For woodworkers, Bessey can supply plastic caps, which cover the metal clamping jaws, and prevent any delicate surface from being marked. The extreme force can sometimes mark softwood when clamping, but I did not find this to be the case with GRZ.

Overall, I am more than happy with this product. The construction is to a high degree, and the clamp can easily be adjusted to vary in pressure and also the parallelism of the jaws.
GRZ provides an excellent addition to a woodworkers clamp collection, arguably one of the most important in the workshop.
