Gross Stabil PC2 Parallel Body Clamps

I have been using these clamps for a few months in the workshop now. They feature solid construction and are built from good quality materials. You could compare these to the infamous Bessey K-Body clamps, which they closely resemble. They mimic the same design almost, but are slightly different in that they do not have rollers as part of the sliding assembly, this can be a pain when trying to slide the clamping head, but is generally not a problem.

Parallel clamps such as the PC2’s have many benefits for woodworkers. They distribute the load over the work, and they large jaws prevent damaging of the timber surfaces.

Having well made clamps can be a benefit when clamping work, if the clamp is accurate, and the parts are 90 degrees to each other, this will help for a really accurate glue-up. The gross stabil’s are no exception to this, they provide a high degree of accuracy for clamp ups.

One thing that these feature which is not seen on the competition’s equivalent, is removable pads. These could be replaced when they get mangled up, or probably taken off for washing or scraping the glue off. Clamps can sometimes get covered in glue, and it can prove to be a problem, sometimes stopping the head from sliding on the bar

Overall I am very happy with these clamps, the construction and quality of materials used is excellent, they hold many great features and would match up to most woodworkers needs.
